1) Navigate using Live’s Browser to where you have saved the Live file, FOUNDATIONS.als
2)Click the arrow to the left of FOUNDATIONS.als file
3)Click the arrow to the left of 1-FOUNDATIONS track
4) Select the desired time signature clip and drag into session view

Custom Midi Clips allow you to decide what Subdivisions will play for each Click. This is useful if using multiple songs in a set and don’t want certain subdivisions for certain songs. This keeps you from having to turn up and down the volume of each subdivision. I.E. If you go from a slow song in 4/4 with some 8th’s and 16th’s turned up to a fast song in 6/8 your not going to want the 16th’s turned up and you may not want the 4th’s there either. 3) Assign both a tempo and a time signature to the scene (in the master track) and fire it by renaming that scene i.e. “120 bpm 4/4

2) Drag the clip as long as you need it to play (Drag it to match the length of the song)
3) You may need to turn off the “Back to Arrangement” button to hear the click play

1. Find your appropriate Time Signature Clip and drag it into Arrangement view.
2.Set the appropriate time signature for that clip by clicking above the clip in the “Scrub” area and right click. Select add “time signature change” and input the appropriate time signature. Do this at the beginning of the clip
3.Set your next time signature by repeating process #2 for each time signature change in the song. Make sure you have the appropriate Time Signature...

If you purchased an Elements collection before August, 23, 2010 and you intend to use them with Ableton Live Intro, it is nessesary to update the .asd files included with the loops. The process is incredibly easy to do and the needed files are attached to this post!
1) Download the Updated_asd_files.zip File attached to this post. Unzip the file using a unzipping utility. If you have trouble unzipping the file make sure your archive utility is up to date. (Mac users we suggest using the Stuffit Expander for Mac)
