Music you Should be listening to: Book of Eli Edition!

Posted by Will in Chatter

It’s not every week that a movie comes out that Christians celebrate, especially a movie that is rated R. The Book of Eli was one of those, at least for the circles I run around in. If you haven’t seen it yet you’ve got to see the movie! Watch on iTunes or Amazon. As great as the movie is though the soundtrack is 10 times better!

A Study in Sound Design

If you’re a keyboardist or someone who creates pads & synths then this soundtrack is a must. The pads are thick and wide. They have some ethereal qualities at times while still being rough around the edges. At times the music has a really great overdriven bite and edge to it. It’s full of great guitar parts and killer pads and processed drums. It’s a great CD if you’re looking for some new sounds or inspiration for some new pads.

Pairs Well with Headphones

If you have a nice pair of in-ears or headphones, you’re going to want to listen to this album with them on. The mixing is great as it makes use of pans and effects. The pads and ethereal parts come to life with nice headphones.

If you’re looking for a new CD with some sounds to challenge you this is definitely a great one. It’s fun to listen to as well, especially the action sequences while driving your car. Hey, by the way, we aren’t responsible for any speeding tickets that occur while listening to this album.
