There's a nice little applet called "On Stage" that allows you to trigger a Logic Pro 9 set list (different Logic files) with a MIDI trigger or do it straight from your computer. With an AC-7 (Mackie Control) on your iPad and a programable trigger pad you can mix live backing tracks, jump song sections and play live out of Logic without ever touching your laptop during a set. You can find On Stage at http://www.fluqe.com/. It's extremely fast and reliable.

I'm looking at buying the logic 9 and a Macbook pro 15" to play live in worship. But I can't find out from apple: 1. Can I insert markers into my midi and wave files and assign the markers to a midi pedal for live play. 2. Can I scan sheet music or type in lyrics and chords and have the page automatically turn at the end of each page in the song.
Thanks,
John

I have had the new Logic 9 since it came out to use solely as recording software. But after finding this site, i have implemented it into live worship...and for the record the play back feature has several settings to where you can choose if jumping from maker to maker happens the instant you do it, or it can be set to switch at the next maker, like in Live.

Thanks for the great review of new features. I am also looking forward to test-driving the real thing. I've been using Logic Express 8 for about 6 months (after several years with Pro Tools LE). I've loved Logic so far. This new release takes a great product and adds some very useful features.
