Brandon,
Glad you enjoy the site so far, and glad we could help. You could skip to #3 but the problem would be that Live is only giving the accented click every other measure and treating the quarter note as the eight note (i.e. as we are counting (1&2&3& 4&) live is counting (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)) A quick solution could be to just double what note gets the beat as well, i.e. instead of 8/4 @ 120 you could plug in 8/8 @ 120. Whatever way works the best and is the easiest.

Great website. I've really found a lot of things to help me out. Im a newbie to the Ableton/Reason/loop/click type thing, but really digging it. One question about this post. Is it possible to skip steps 1 & 2, and just do 3? I basically changed the time signature for the scene, and it automatically gave me the eighth notes as opposed to the slow quarter notes.

Thanks again for your blog.
